The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was enacted to protect children from offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and pornography.

Our school has constituted a POSCO Committee as mandated by the Act to ensure the safety and protection of all students within the school premises and during school-related activities.

POCSO Act, 2012

The POCSO Act provides a robust legal framework for the protection of children from sexual abuse and exploitation. It defines a child as any person below eighteen years of age and provides for stringent punishments for offenders.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Our school maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child abuse, harassment, or misconduct. All complaints are taken seriously and addressed promptly as per the POCSO Act guidelines.

Complaint Procedure

Confidentiality Assurance

If you wish to file a complaint regarding child safety or POCSO-related matters:

1. Contact any committee member directly

2. Use the confidential complaint box at reception

3. Email the committee at the provided address

4. All complaints are handled with strict confidentiality

5. Action is taken within 24 hours of complaint receipt

 

The POSCO Committee ensures:

1. Complete confidentiality of complainant and victim

2. No retaliation against complainants

3. Fair and impartial investigation

4. Support and counseling for affected children

5. Timely reporting to authorities as required by law
